At the Swallow Hill tea room, guests enjoy a three-course afternoon tea featuring savories, breads, and sweets. Each delicacy is crafted to satisfy and savored over a two-hour period, with every course paired with expertly steeped fine teas. Our pre-set menus and themes change monthly, offering a fresh experience with every visit.
-
Yes, the tea room is by reservation only. You can reserve your tea time through our online reservation system, where you can see the times available.
-
Yes. At the time of reserving your slot, please select the amount of people who will be attending so we can adequately prepare for your party with seating and food arrangements.
-
At the Tea Room at Swallow Hill, we take pride in being handicap accessible! Please note, wheelchairs may take up more room and lower the number of people who can be seated at your table.
-
Each tea lounge can accommodate up to 6 guests, (seven guests are a squeeze), but lounges can be combined for parties of eight and up. Please leave a contact number so we can arrange correct accommodation.
Reservations
-
When you make a reservation, a credit card number is asked so that we can hold your reservation, just like at a hotel. We do not use this card for your teatime payment upon arrival; instead, please settle your bill with your Server. The card may only be charged in the event of a no-show fee for missed reservations.
-
In general, we are not able to accommodate last-minute additions to your party. This is because space in each seating area is limited and food is reserved for each guest in advance. You have up to 48 hours before your reservation to make any changes necessary.
-
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. This means that you are able to cancel up to 48-hours prior to your reservation. If your party does not show up for your tea time or we are not able to fill your spot from our waitlist, we will charge a $50 no-show fee.
-
We prepare our food in advance, according to the amount of seats that have been reserved. Due to this, we are happy to have the extra food brought to your table for you (and the guests who do attend) so you can enjoy extra for the day. We can also box it up for you to take home or to your guest(s) who couldn't make it.
We understand that every situation is different, so please reach out as soon as possible so we can adjust your reservation if necessary.
-
As we prepare our meals in advance, we ask that you make your requests in at least 48 hours in advance. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your reservation.
Prices & Menus
-
You can find the prices of our tea times on the reservation screen. These are subject to change but are all-inclusive. We are proud to pay our employees a livable wage and we do not have tipped employees, therefore no tip is expected or required but it is appreciated.
-
In general, we have pre-set menus that change from month-to-month. Because of this, we are not made-to-order, and all guests receive the same menu that is being served at that time. However, there are menu options such as vegetarian, nut-free, and double savories, no sweets that can be selected at the time of reservation.
We ask that you make these changes at least 48-hours prior to your reservation, or we may not be able to accommodate you.
-
We offer our regular menu at all times but we also offer a nut-free; vegetarian; and gluten-free menu option, though we ask you let us know at least 48-hours ahead of time to adequately prepare. We do also offer a double savories (no sweets) option. Due to the complicated nature of allergies and our pre-set menus, we cannot combine nut-free, vegetarian, or gluten-free.
-
At this time, we do not offer vegan or dairy-free options and afternoon tea can be traditionally dairy heavy. You can contact us ahead of time if you would like to know which items from the monthly menu to avoid when you come.
-
Absolutely! It is best if you are able to tell us in advance if you would like to switch teas, particularly if it’s the first course tea, which is placed on your table when you arrive. However, if on the day of your reservation you would like to switch your second or third teas, just let your server know, and we can make that change for you.

Coming to Tea & Bringing Children
-
In order to allow all of our guests to fully enjoy their experience, we only allow children ages 4 and up. We ask that for every 2 children, there is one adult accompanying them.
If you have any questions or would like to prepare your child, check out this etiquette page.
-
At the tea room, there is no required dress code for our dine in experience. However, many guests find that coming to tea is the perfect excuse to dress up a little. Hats and gloves will be available for sale in the Farm Shop before and after your seating.
-
To maintain the pristine condition of our tea room and out of respect for our surroundings, we kindly request that no pets be brought onto the premises. This policy is in place to ensure the preservation of the lavender fields and uphold the tranquil atmosphere enjoyed by all our guests. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain this beautiful environment.
